Finally managed to finish the installation at the coffee house, 11 cameras over two floors, covering all the customer seating area, kitchen, fridges and preparation areas. This wasn't so much for theft or stock shortages but more for Health and Safety reasons.
After a claim from a client for slipping on the floor over a year ago, and no-one having any knowledge of it, the owner decided it was best to record and back up any activity that is out of the ordinary. We also placed a zoom camera over the cashier drawer after a few occasions where people have said they had given a £20 note and the operator said it was a £10 note. In immediate playback it can now be seen very clearly just what cash was handed over.
A 16 channel recorder was placed in situ so when the owner decides to expand she can add another 5 cameras.
